"NIED K-NET, KiK-net are strong-motion seismograph networks aimed at accurately observing strong motions without saturation even in severe shaking. K-NET consists of more than 1,000 stations on the ground surface with average station-to-station distance of 20 km. KiK-net consists of pairs of seismographs installed in a borehole together with Hi-net as well as on the ground surface.
